Fall clean-up

As I cleaned out the flower beds at The Fern of Westfield on Saturday, I was reminded of the ebb and flow of life.  The summer splendor of blooming and growing gives way to the winter quiet of  resting and reflecting.  And in between, is the wonderful transition of autumn, where our senses are delighted with incredible colors, crisp air, and the smell of bonfires.
